Beschreibung

The present edition of the mazurkas by Fryderyk Chopin (1810–1849) is based on the complete works of the composer edited by Karol Mikuli (1821–1897), ? pupil and assistent of Chopin. The sources of Miku1i’s edition (completed in 1879) were unique. Those were, firstly, the composer’s manuscripts and, secondly, printed copies of his works, bearing marks put down by Chopin in teaching his pupils.
